I have bought a super king size pine bed but mislaid the fixings the seller gave me.

The corner legs have a 6mm stud which runs horizontally into the side rails.

The stud is exposed in a hole about 60mm diameter drilled from the inside which extends about 5mm past the stud.

Can anyone describe what the original fitting would have been?

Even better anywhere they can be obtained?

No, John but thanks for the reply.

The M6 studs are screwed into a threaded insert in the leg.

Once thats in place, something much go into the 60mm hole to tighten up the joint.

At least that seems to be how it works.

Anyone else have any ideas?

I will have another look this afternoon and see if anything else comes to mind.

I guess what you'll ideally need then is like a half moon shaped piece of metal, with a hole drilled end on.....pass the stud through the hole, then add a nut for tightening. Even round section material, with a hole, could be used so the load is spread across the end grain.
John :)
