Pink mould in bathroom

Evening all,

Over the last few weeks we've noticed a patch in our bathroom, right next to the bath, getting a decidedly pink/purple colour. Presumed (incorrectly) it was some kind of hair-dye or bleach incident and thought not much more of it.

Having checked the sealant between the bath panel and the flooring, it just pulls away and clearly wasn't sealing very well at all. Underneath the flooring it's a bit moist with some pink/black patches.

I know it's difficult just from pics, but any ideas if I can just rip this up, let the boards dry and put new vinyl down - or are we looking at an insurance job to replace the whole floor (damaged by the damp?). Is there an easy way to tell without getting someone out?

Without a pic showing the whole bathroom its difficult to say but it suggests splash-over from a bath or a shower or leaks from a shower enclosure?
Water test all enclosures and tilework with shower hose light sprays.

Is the wall behind the bath a stud partition built off the floor?
Pics of the WC outlet and under the bath might also help.

The sheet vinyl you show would be best removed to allow air to the floor.

Have you taken the panel off and looked at what's happening under the bath?

Thanks for the messages. I took the bath panel off as recommended and removed the vinyl completely.

Underneath the bath was fine, there's a baton there that the panel was screwed to, so that looks to have stopped any water getting under there (and there isn't any "leak" by the looks of it, just kids splashing getting between the panel and under the vinyl).

Now it's all dried out the floor boards all look pretty much the same, pretty good - confident that I can just get new vinyl laid and nothing else too drastic needs to be done!
