Pipe around bathroom and shelf board

hi, I
Have a pipe which runs from bathroom sink into a shelf board. Am trying to upload the picture which should help what am on about. However am concerned it looks like some kind of asbestos cement type of pipe and what could be board be made from? House is about 19 years old so should be ok?

Am just a homeowner not a builder, what are these pipes usually made from?

If it's waste pipe from the basin then plastic, copper, lead, steel but not asbestos

Please stop worrying about asbestos!
