Pipe bung 8mm

Does anyone know of a internal pipe bung or similar suitable for 8mm copper? I need to solder a fitting onto the end of a piece that won't drain down properly.

It doesn't need to hold pressure. I need to get it far enough along the pipe that I can solder the end. I've seen a little rubber thing on a stick you can use for 15mm.

How will you retrieve the bung if there's a fitting on the end of the pipe?

Suck the water out, with a water capable vacuum cleaner.

Apply heat and boil it dry .

Cut it further back where it may be out of sight then use a compression fitting to remake once soldered.

Too much water for bread unfortunately. Its the end of a long drop on a central heating system.

Yeah sounds like the only realistic option. Trying to avoid compression though.

That's an idea actually. I haven't got one though. Will have a look on FB marketplace.

Have you considered lifting the pipe up higher to solder it or is there still too much water?
