Pipe Freezing?

Hi,

I am installing a new kitchen and have a radiator that I want to remove and replumb. I cant be bothered to go through draining down the whole system just for this one tiny rad. My question is, how reliable are these pipe freezing kits?, I am hoping to freeze the pipe bung a couple of isolator valves on and job done.

Would you recommend any particular type/make?
