Pipe size??

It's 21.5mm overflow. You can get a 40mm to overflow adaptor for the pan connector which will work fine.

Aren't there rules about draining condensate into SVP?

I thought they had to go through limestone/similar first to neutralise.

They can go into a SVP. It must be above the toilet branch or have a HepVo trap on them if below the branch. This is to ensure no sewage ends up in the boiler if a blockage. I'm pretty sure I got that right.

I believe the boiler condensate siphon trap can be removed if a HepVo trap is fitted. I know one system where the boiler siphon/trap was a problem (updated on later models) and it was solved by removing and fitting a HepVo trap.

It used to be that it wasn't approved if the SVP was cast iron, then they changed their minds as it was then said that the SVP would be constantly flushed through with water thereby diluting the condensate.

Siphon traps are integral to boiler design these days so can't be removed. As long as the trap is 75mm you can connect to SVP at any point although it is usually at a higher level than the WC T.

The 75mm I assume refers to the integral siphon trap.

If teed in lower than the WC tee, I would strongly recommend fitting a HepVo trap to avoid sewage getting into the boiler.
