Hello everyone

I am thinking of purchasing a baisi boiler (condensing 30kw)
firstly are these any good
secondly the house i am buying has a back boiler which i intend to change with this (new one is going in kitchen the old one will be capped the only reason is i think it would be a pain i think. any advice on the location )
the problem i have is some of the pipe work to the rads is 8mm and some is 10mm. i am no 100% on what the flow and return is, i think its 22mm. i read something on restrcitions on pipe size when going over a certian kw boiler. could anyone tell me what they are? i am only doing the water gas will be done by a pro, obviously. any advice would greatly appreciated
cheers chris

First of all forget using a biasi (they are just cheap & unreliable) if i were you i would change complete system using a vaillant ecomax or a worcester bosch unless you intend doing house up & moving within 2 years

Cheers for your advice weareleeds
do you think i would be better off putting new boiler in the kitchen?
i dont know how much of a pain it would to put in where the other one is or up stairs where the tank is?
cheers .

Good advice from weareleeds, buy yourself a decent mid range boiler.

Putting the boiler in the kitchen is preferable as it eliminates the dead leg for your hot water to the kitchen sink. :D

Cheap, yes, but unreliable? Not in my limited experience. I think they represent good value for money. A much more expensive boiler won't necessarily give you better reliability.

As for 8mm and 10mm tube, don't worry about this, it's probably fine.

welshboy, you're replying to a thread 2 years old!

And no advertising thankyou.
