I own a small 3 bed detached house built in the late 60s, the ground floor radiator pipe work drops down from the ceiling in 15mm copper and is surface run to the radiators.
I hate the look of it so my plan is to fit designer radiators and run 10mm plastic chases into the walls.
My plan is to keep the 10mm runs as short as possible by connecting into the existing 15mm before they come through the ceiling so there will be approx 3 metres of plastic on the flow and return to each rad.
The walls are brick/block rendered and skimmed.
The boiler is a combi.
Do I need to worry about insulating the pipes in the chase and are there any other things I need to consider?
Thanks!!
