Hi all

I'm running 22mm pipe down from the cold water tank in the attic, to the shower in the airing cupboard.

Is it a problem if I use an elbow instead (like this):

instead of smooth bends, as I really don't see how I can use smooth bends with the layout I have. Once into the airing cupboard, I can make a smooth curve to the pump, but above this, an elbow is the only option.

It's only a 1.5 bar shower. Does it really matter?

All bends are restrictions in the flow. The wider the bend the better but a swept bend (as in your picture) is better than an elbow. So that is fine. :)

That`s a Photoshopped badly elbow  not a swept bend ;)

Oops sorry, that's where you guys make a 'whoosh' noise :).

Anyway I've used the Conex Cuprofit elbows so far so I might just use them for the rest of the install. If I can get away without buying pipe benders, I will!
