I'm trying to figure out the pipework for our system but as its a back boiler I cant see where the pipe connections are. I also cant see much under the floorboards or in the adjoining cupboard where the cylinder is. I'm presuming the pipes must enter from the right hand side of boiler, would that be normal?

From what I've seen so far the pump is connected after one 2port valve which seems to conflict with every diagram of CH configurations I've seen. Does it make sense to anyone?

Is it possible that one valve is used to shut off the entire system and then the 2nd valve (presumably after the pump) just controls the flow to the cylinder?

thanks

You dont say which make and model of BBU you have!

Most have connections at both left and right and can mostly be connected any way. Although if connected to a gravity circuit it would be better if the flow was on the opposite side to the return.

There is no reason why your system should be connected correctly or in accordance with any standard layout. It would depend on what the installer decided to do on the day!

Ah yes, sorry about that.

Its a Baxi Bermuda 57/4M.

I take it removing the front fire is a job for an RGI?
