pipework under ground

Hi

we are looking at refurbing a bathroom and moving the toilet around etc.

We need to dig the floor up to access the existing wastes for the toilet and then move it to the other side of the room, the pipework is cast iron downpipe on the outside so presuming it would be the same or clay under ground? some tips and advice would be good on this before we start!

Also can we use standard pushfit 15mm plastic under the floor

I think your cast downpipes will terminate at ground level, and continue into salt glaze pipes more than likely to a nearby inspection cover.
For under floor pipe work, either keep it in one continuous length or use soldered copper ideally (just for piece of mind!)

You need to duct, insulate and sleeve the water pipes, flexible plastic is far better. Can you run the soil pipe around the outside?

the soil pipe would be on the front of the house and its a bungalow so would look poo!!
