PIR flood light on all night once activated

I know the answer to this might be its knackered but I'm looking for any other reason.

My flood light works on a PIR and is set to darkness with LUX until someone walks past then activates it. But then it doesnt go off until dawn. It does flicker like it is going off at the time set but its just that a off on as quick as you can see it!

Any ideas like I say its off all night unless activated its on all night!

Try changing the settings on it.

How old is it? Where did you buy it? Is there a brand name on it?

most pir lights nowadays have a dusk/dawn function.

try switching it off at the main switch for 20secs. this may put it back into auto mode.

Sounds like it is defunct. Worth checking the reset option (turn off for a minute or so to be sure), but I would guess a new one will be required.
