Hi all,

My wife wanted an "automatic" light switch for our (to be installed) shower room after seeing one in the toilet of one of the bathroom shop we visited. Now I don't see a problem in a toilet only setup but would it work in a shower room? I know there are IP rated PIR so that's not an issue. Any experience with this? Thanks.

I have them in my hallways.
Work fine, a shower room would have activity. More so than a "bog".
Just set the timer to about 5 mins. More than enough for a shower.

I guess that's my questions really. How would the steam from the shower affect the performance of the PIR? It's a pretty small room (1.7m x 2.3m) anyway so in theory it will detect small movement.
