I am fitting PIR insulation between ceiling joists. My question is should the face be flush with the joists so the plasterboard is touching it or do l need to leave a gap between the pir and plasterboard?

Tight and tape it all together for a vapour barrier. Assume you have an airgap between the top of PIR and felt?
