PIR light switch

Hi All,

Got a PIR light in the porch, currently there is a double pole switch which provides the power to it and the other switch turns on the landing light.

Can I use a double pole fused switch - so the fused side constantly provides power to the PIR light and the other switch turns on the light for the landing?

You can use a grid arrangement with a fuse on one side and a switch on the other.
However a fuse is not required for the external light. If you want it to be powered all the time, get a 1 gang switch and wire the PIR in permanently.

Or if you want a switch which can't be operated accidentally, a key switch could be used such as https://www.screwfix.com/p/mk-grid-...witch-white-with-colour-matched-inserts/63994

Yes it's mainly so that it doesn't get turned off accidentally.

A splice from L to N for the PIR?
