Hi
i'm currently halfway through sanding off the dark oak varnish from the tongue and groove ceiling in the kitchen before painting it white , the problem is that it currently has a horrible inch and a half wooden moulding as a cornice/coving. I ideally i'd like to change this to something very plain , something like a 2 x 2 timber cut diagonally down it's length to cover the edges with no frills and a nice plain finish.
I've spent the last couple of days trawling the net and the local DIY stores to try and find lengths of finished timber to suit, but no joy, so has anyone got any ideas ??
Thanks
