Hi All
close couple toilet to be fitted,do you think i would be best to relpace the lot back to the stack.

Cut it with 9 inch angle grinder and get the relevant pan connector from mac alpine very common thing to have to do actually and not too difficult if you know what you arer doing

If you are not confident with a large grinder then you may be better of with chain type cutter ,angle grinders can be very dangerous in the wrong hands!
 
as said just cut back and fit a pan connector.

theirs nothing wrong with the rest of the cast iron soil stack etc so why
remove it.
 
The branch looks like it may be lead to me. Try scoring it with a Stanley knife, cast will only scratch, lead will be much softer. If it's lead then cut carefully with a hacksaw.
 
It isnt leaking, (if it is lead then wont rust!), and depends how much work you want. If you do cut it internally then go steadily, lead is soft and will deform or split easily if too much pressure is applied.
 
is there a connecter to fit inside the lead or a standard one will fit the job.
