Hi guys,

I have planning approval in place to extend a small existing extension at the rear of my house. It includes removing the pitched roof from the existing extension and replacing with a flat roof and roof lanterns across the whole new extension.
Alongside this I have a permitted development certificate for an extension of the existing loft conversion (hip to gable) and large rear dormer. I had to do it in two applications because the council refused my loft conversion on the original single application.

Because of the current situation we find ourselves in, I cannot afford to carry out the rear extension with the funds I have available and it is not possible for us to wait until things get back to normal, so we will have to do the loft conversion and revisit the rear when things pick up.

The issue I have is that to do the loft conversion I need to remove the pitched roof on my existing small rear extension and put the flat roof on it. Does anyone here know whether I would need to reapply for planning permission to alter the roof from pitched to flat as I am not doing the full rear extension?

Sorry for the length of the post, i tried to keep it as short a possible without leaving anything out.

If you need any other info please ask

Thanks

Tony
