Planning permission for converting garage to utility room

Hi,

I am in the middle of purchasing a house which has had part of the garage turned into a utility room. The garage originally had the washing machine in there and the current owner have built a stud wall to split the garage. Thats all.
Does this require planning permission? Approval etc?

It doesn't need anything, or to put it another way, the Council can'r do anything about it. :roll:
