plaster colour confusion

after i've skimmed and its dried it comes out very light pink colour almost white why sometimes when i see other plasterers skimming its bright pink if anyone could shed some light please

Possibly your wet trowelling is a bit too wet? I've noticed my plasterers sponge off the slurry after a wet trowell, but little bits remain which dry white. I wouldn't worry about it though.
