Plaster Effect Wallpaper

Hi guys, first time poster here..

I am currently decorating my first house and have started on the living room. We are after a contemporary look.

We, ideally want a wallpaper which has no pattern and a plaster effect.

I was wondering if any of you guys can recommend or have seen any around?

Any help appreciated

plaster effect?!?!?!? are you going to paint over it i.e. do you mean smooth lining paper? or did you have something particular in mind?

I just want a smooth wallpaper which i can paint over, no design no texture.

Also how easy will this be to paint, i have heard that it maybe difficult?

sounds like your after lining paper - go for the thicker stuff - can't remember what the weight/grade is but goto any shed and ask, they'll point you to it.

as for painting the paper does tend to suck the paint in so don't paint onto it with your expensive stuff, give it a coat with cheap paint then use the good stuff - also if your not very good at putting the stuff up don't worry too much about any air bubbles (unless they are large and numerous) when painting as when the paint dries it'll go back to it's original flat surface.

lol - they do..... only it's called lining paper

depends how bad your walls are. 1000 guage is the norm, but 1500 hundred for relly bad walls. Intresting idea that wallpaper you can paint, someone should invent it.................oh they have!
