plaster finishes

I have just finished my first attempt at plastering the bathroom using multi-finish plaster,it's not a brilliant finish and i've just read in a DIY book that you can get some plaster finishes that you can brush on.Can anyone advise what they are and how good they are

If you mean the ones made by Polycell or Artex, I've tried the latter and couldn't recommend it. The former doesn't seem to get many compliments, either. (Don't wish to put you off or anything
