Hi all,
Totally new to diy, new (old) house and lots to be done. Started stripping paper in one room and have found a line, floor to ceiling. Where paper has been put up and then had a filler or plaster type substance put over the paper, presumably in a bad attempt to smooth this area. It's where a new section of wall has been put in where a walk in wardrobe used to be.
It's pretty tough to get off, and I think if I get it off I can get the line much smoother, but am worried this stuff might be holding the two sections of wall together and I might do a lot of damage.
Anyone seen this type of thing before and have any advice on what's best to do?
Pics attached.
Thanks for any help.
