Would it be simpler to just board the ceilings out to the battens along the sides of the Catnic, then board the Catnic?

Or board the Catnic 1st, leaving a slot along the top of the sides to take the edges of the ceiling boards?

What would spread do?

Thanks,

Dain

sorry but i dont want to reply to your question.

has BCO been on site and seen what we can see in your pic?
Were plans/drawings submitted and passed for exactly whatever is in your pic?

Then why comment at all?

BCO has been in, looked about that room with the beam exposed, no issues were found. The beam previously supported blockwork which has been removed. It now, as is shown, just supports joists and a t&g floor.
