I've noticed the 15mm stuff and have the dividers between bedrooms to do. I'll fill the cavity with Rockwool anyway, but will this soundshield stuff make much difference?

Very difficult for the non-scientist to tell, because you are not going to build wall with one, take it down , re-build with the other to judge the difference.

Not trying too be ( too ) funny, but sound appreciation is very subjective and the complications of decibel measurements are of little help.

Haven't used it myself, but since both greater thickness and greater density, it will make some difference, but will be a matter of degree rather than " Wow, listen to the silence "

There will be a technical difference, but in a domestic setting the difference will be the same as whether you use emulsion or blown vinyl on the walls

Double 12.5mm would probably work out cheaper. Normal stuff, but gives you an inch each side.
