Plasterboard on top of tiles

I want to plasterboard over a small area (1sq m. ) of tiles. Is ready mixed tile adhesive suitable for fixing rather than buying a bag of drywall adhesive & mixing it, leaving a lot of waste.

Why don't you mechanical fix to the tiles/wall?
