Plasterboard wall rattles - how do I fix?

G'day,

I have a timber frame home with plasterboard walls. I think the glue used to attach the plasterboard to the wall was a bit dodgey as some of the panels have a bit of a 'rattle' to them.

We're just about to repaint and I was thinking that now is the time to do something and I was wondering if anyone has a quick and easy fix for this. I was thinking about putting some nails or screws with a broad head into the panels to re-secure them to the timber frame. I can countersink the heads a little, apply my favourite filler and paint.

Any more ideas?

Regards,

Noel.

screw into the board making sure you catch a stud they will be 400mm or 600m apart, sink the screw just below the surface trying not to go through the paper and fill.
