Hi I am re boarding my ceiling, My question is, I intend to tape and gyproc the joints (then paint)and use tapered edge plasterboard.when i fit the boards end to end they do not have a tapered edge at the ends only down the sides of the boards. Do I just tape and blend in the gyproc the square ends. Any help would appreciated.

Never tried tape and mud, too much of a faff what with all the screw/nail holes etc.

There is a fair bit of effort involved in taping, mudding and sanding and is a skilled task in itself.

My guess is that you will need to tape the square ends just the same and feather them in with the mud. Good luck.
