plasterbord/wallpaper problem

i am moving into a new property and i have found that every wall in the 3 bed house has had plasterboard attached to it and NO plaster,, and on top of the plaster board is lots of layers of wallpaper toped of with a layer of wood chip wall paper making it impossible to pull off and paint, what are my options here ??

Hi I would suggest you buy plaster board and re board over the existing paper and plaster board and then skim over it.Because if you try to strip it you will damage the walls and ten you will have to patch them and think of the time you will save by not stripping. ( I know it is expensive but its faster and cleaner and not as messy.

If they've been decorated direct you'll probably find the 'brown side' outermost so you'll never strip it.
