Hi,
I have bought a house recently , its been built around 1955.
The house has had blown vynal wall paper on all walls , some rooms papered with up to 5 different wallpapers on all walls.
we stripped a few rooms and all the old plaster has fell off.
The pink plaster has come away in most places, and what hasnt come off is loose!
We got a plasterer round for an estimate. He said he could do the job.Now he says its going to cost more aschipping back to the brick with a machine as its the wrong mix of Lime????
Can anyone explain or help me with this problem.
The best i can explain is that when i pulled paper off not using a stripper most of the old plaster came of with it.There is a chalky type of wall underneath- maybe concrete.Im a bit baffled also it will cost a lot more per room. Here are a few images to explain better.
Is anyone a plaster that can Explain this
