our spark prefers the plastering to take place after 1st fix.

other people we asked leave this till after the rewire.

any reason for either approach?

Thanks

most sites ive worked on the plaster work is done after electricians are finished - plasterers then remove plates from wall to plaster behind which causes probs with lost screws/ damaged back boxes, also a lot of homes are revamps ie: tenants living in so re-wire needs to be completed and plasterers follow after

Carry out the first fix and then get the plasterer round.

I've never known anyone want to second fix before plastering has taken place.

I have done both

but plaster before second fix is preferred especially when posh chrome accesories are used.
