plastering brickwork

Hi, I have just taken down a door frame, dimensions 300mm x 2000mm.
This has exposed brickwork and above the door frame are loads of plaster bags stuffed in to pack it out

I want to get this plastered over with no door to be replaced, how long would it take to do a job like this?

dot n dab then skim coat........2 or 3 hrs.

it wasn't by chance a fire door was it?

oh the door is for the lounge - the door is the same as all the other doors in the house, solid oak.

I think they made the frame that big because the builders couldn't be bothered to plaster that part.

Door size is normal single sized opening.

That's why they packed the header with paper bags

how much would 1 charge for something like this? I am getting a quote tomorrow from a plasterer, don't want to be ripped off!!

It won't talk long but I reakon your will get charged 1/2 day so I'd say up to £100.
