Plastering onto blockwork

Hi all.
I've had a doorway blocked up in my house with breeze blocks. Can I skim straight over the blocks with multi finish?

Why not? What if I put loads ov pva on them?

I know I should put a bonding coat on first but the same wall has got another door and door frame on it and I don't want to have to renew that door frame too

If you know you should put a backing coat on before skimming then you have answered your own question.
