Hello, I have just purchased a house. One of the bedrooms has been wallpapered, I have removed all the wallpaper and there is a matt white paint underneath

Can this be plastered over?

What is the worst that can happen lol?

Yes, but would suggest you get a good plasterer in as its a great skill (done properly).

is there any way of telling if there is a gloss paint or somehting bad under the matt?

It doesn't matter as long as its not a distemper the plasterer would pva and skim

how would i know what is under the matt?
