Genius as it is, I'm struggling to see where this would actually come in handy.
For downlighters, very often it's all worked out when there is no ceiling up.
If there is a ceiling there, I would draw it all on a plan, then later mark it all out, with a chalkline to get nice straight rows.
If a hole you've accidently made gets skimmed over, I imagine it will leave a dark patch which could be confused with the mark the plasterspot will leave.
Don't think I'll bother, but should the occasion arise I know where to go.
That video makes electricians look as idiotic as plumbers!
Who is supposed to stick them on the ceiling?
If plastering types are installing boards and slopping wet plaster about, not likely anyone else will be there.
It would be more fun if they were a clear ink applied with a large tipped pen, that quickly dries after application and only becomes visible after plastering. Think of all the nice messages you could write to the plasterers!
I still can't think of a practical use for them though, I just measure out and draw up a map. In small rooms a permanent marker is used to draw the map in the back of the switch box, no good for properties being spray plastered/painted though. It's rare to be around when the boards go up to get the chance to to stick them on.
