The 40mm waste pipe trap fitting under my son’s sink has sliding joints and these seal with a plastic 40mm ring. This appears to be tapered like the rubber joint seal but a rubber one won’t fit (too bulky). I have been unable to find any plastic ring seals can anyone suggest where they might be available?

Is a joint leaking ,or seal missing ? If leaking ,wrap PTFE tape around the seal and reassemble.
