It arrived today and looks pretty good.

It has no oil in it anyway so i will fill her up.

Also has a plate pad included for blocks etc.

It was fine and did the job. Sold it for a £10 profit after i had used it. How much are they at aldi now ?

ALDI brand tools are Ferrex but if you read the blurb that comes with it you contact Scheppach for customer service.

For DIY jobs I think they are pretty decent for the price. Seen same tools in Homebase/B&Q but different colour scheme and brand name with a bigger price tag..

Does anyone know where you fill it with oil?

Do you fill it via the two oil dipsticks?

Or via the round tank at the front of the plate?

Or are these two separate oils used ?

Don't know the machine, but the usual is engine oil goes in one of the dipstick holes (whichever is easiest to access), and gear oil in the exciter at the front of the plate.

Guys, I’ve got an area approx 60m2 to compact down in the next month, never used a compactor before. Are they easy to use and control? I know not to whack down more than 75mm at a time, but any more tips?

Yes, it will pull itself along and you just steer it.
