Any tips on construction of a play house for our daughter?
Will it be cheaper to buy a prefabricated one, or build it from scratch?
Does any one have any plans?

I'm pretty handy with a saw and budget is limited.

I would suggest that building your own will not be that different from buying one but if you build one yourself you will get a building which will be 100 times better than some flimsy construction from one of the big sheds.

You can get plans from various websites, go for one which includes a cutting list. Just do a seach on google for playhouse desings, I found the following one

Don't forget, when your kids grow-up, and you want to sell the house, an easy to dis-assemble house will sell better. However they make good quiet hideaways from teenage daughters

Also make sure that you don't intend it to be permanently occupied
