I've been renewing some copper pipe in our bathroom(its a bungalow and about 50 years old).
For some reason there is what I thought was 22mm copper pipe going to the bath hot water.
I took a section of this pipe out and tried to use a 22mm - 15mm reducer. The old pipe is NOT 22mm but smaller and I'm have a right game trying to solder the 22mm reducer to this old pipe. Its just not having it.
I have given up for today - been trying to do it since 1000 hrs.

Any idea what I am doing wrong or what I need?

Cheers for any help'
Gaz.

because its 3/4" imperial pipe.
use an 3/4" imperial to 22mm metric coupler or use a 22mm compression with a 3/4" olive at one end.

ask for metric to imperial couplings or ypou can get olives to fit onto conex fittings

Even easier...use a 22mm to 15mm speedfit reducer......they fit 3/4 pipes. Unless it's visible of course.....bit bulky
