Plumbing bath hot and cold taps

Hi,

I was recently talking to a plumber about replacing my bath and he mentioned that there was a relatively new requirement that hot and cold taps need to be linked to prevent the water coming out of the hot tap being too warm.

However, I have been unable to find any more information about this.

Does anyone know about it?

Don't worry that's only new builds.

Your plumber is refering to a TMV (Thermostatic Mixing Valve) or TBV (Thermostatic Blending Valve).; Same thing, and as above, a requirement for new builds.
