I have a smell of sewage in my bathrooms which I cannot get rid of. I called out Dyno Rod thinking that I must have a blocked drain but they said the drains were fine. They suggested that I might have a faulty stack pipe valve. Do you think that this could be the problem? The house is only 18 months old so do you think that the builders should put this right? If not can you let me have details of a company I could use who will be able to deal with this problem efficiently and not too expensive? I live in Norwich, Norfolk.

you don't tell us nothing about your stack pipe so how can we help ?
if it is an internal stack pipe with an aav fitted they can get stuck or if they have been boxed in with no vents they don't work how they should.

I'm a girlie so I don't know what sort of Stack pipe it is. It's a new house and the pipe goes up through the house presumably into the loft. Dyno Rod told me it could have a faulty valve so I'm guessing that's what you mean by AVV. I can't DIY so does anyone know of a good plumber who can repair this for me. Norwich area.
