what are you going to put on top of it?

What room is it?

It's a living room.

I'm going to put down a plywood floor, screwed to the joists, followed by a heavy carpet underlay, followed by a carpet.

[ I am replacing old 25mm floorboards so if choose 18mm ply this will leave a gap of 7mm. I could possibly fill this with some proprietory mineral loaded soundproofing felt or similar , beneath the underlay. ]

Standard WBP then.

Marine is very expensive, the others can have very rough surfaces.

Have a look at some samples in the yard before you buy.

Some spruce ply is reasonable, but some has open knots etc.
