Hi, I bought the Polycell smoothover textured ceiling product and the 'tool' to plaster over the stippled ceiling myself. The plaster was quite firm and didn't dry very fast at all (hours) so it IS possible if you are good. Unfortunately, due to my inexperience (first ever DIY project) there are now 'tramlines', little 'bubble' gaps and uneven and wobbly patches. Can I just use an orbital sander to sand it smooth; or paint/paper over to hide it? Please don't say I have to now pay for a plasterer? It's still better than the horrible stipples though. Thanks, S.

the polycell smooth over is very fine and very easy to sand. use a 120 grit paper or similar on a wooden block or on a sanding pad and it should come up very well, and with very little effort, but it is very dusty
