I'm preparing an area for wet UFH system. The insulation is down, and I'm considering laying a 'decoupling membrane' by Laminon (which helpfully has a grid printed on it to align the pipework to) prior to pipe fitting and screeding.
It's sold in 1.2m wide rolls, so will have joints - I assume these will need taping/sealing - but I'm struggling to find a suggestion for what tape to use. Would boggo gaffa do it, or do I need something exotic?
It's a woven polypropylene membrane which I assume is going to act as a moisture barrier and stop all the screed running underneath it (once taped) - so short of taping all my joints in the PIR beneath it, I'm assuming no additional preparation is needed..?
for bonus points- does anyone have any suggestions for a decent way to fit the perimeter insulation roll to masonry? Getting tape to stick to it would be a challange (unless it's super sticky!), and I'm not sure staples would penetrate the 100yr old local brick my house is hewn from.
