polystyrene coving

We need to paint some polystyrene coving, but the joins do not look great where they have been filled. What's the best way to cover these joints is there any paint that would do the job. Thanks

Sorry Unable to post any pictures.
 
You could try carefully sanding the filler to try and achieve a uniform finish or rake out the existing and apply a flexible filler or decorators caulk.

I have used some thinned down filler to go over joins on this type of coving and been able to rub it down gently afterwards. A couple of good coats of white later and they look ok.
