Cleaning my chrome pop up sink plug, I pulled a little too hard on the chrome head and broke the seat where it connects to the pipe. The seat is plastic, about 3 inches down in the pipe and connects to the pipe in four or five places in a honeycomb pattern. The chrome and metal bolt part of the plug is fine, its just the plastic connection the provides the resistance for the push-pop up function that is broken. My question is; what is this part called if I want to replace it and how difficult is it to replace?
Many thank in advance.

Hi Pete, I don't think so, its broken into 5 bits & I don't have all the pieces.

+1, if its the ring catcher broken on a click clack waste (which seems to have been confusingly renamed to pop-up these days) it'll need replacing.
