I have removed a rug covering hardwood floors on my 2nd floor. The floors are in great condition. Now the boards are making a very loud popping sound. It wakes us up in the night. Any suggestions on how to fix? The boards seem to be held down well. I have noticed they installed the baseboard 1st & the floorboards butt up to them.
