I've got gas central heating and one of my radiators has started making a popping sound when the heating is on. It sounds like the pop you make with a finger in your mouth!
Does anybody have any idea what this is and how to cure it?
Thanks.

shut that one rad down so it doesn`t get hot - see what happens - report back

Hi Nige, turning that rad off has stopped the popping noise, any suggestions? THanks.

turn the rad on + the heating ;) have a listen close to rad - might either be the metal moving on the rad brackets , something going on in the thermo rad valve , or pipes feeding the rad pinching under the floor

There's nothing worth pinching under there.

Love it, 'turn it off and see what happens'

Nothing happens....................it's turned off.

Best quote of the year ....so far! ;)

Sorry Nige, you ask for that.
