Portable dvd player

Hi.

I have a portable dvd player that has a slight problem with the screen.

There is a thick line running down the centre from top to bottom.

It has a different contrast to the rest.

Any advise.

I'm afraid that the LCD screen is faulty. They are so cheap now it wouldn't be worth repairing.
