Am I right in saying that its bad practice to position a socket directly below a window, because water from condensation could drop on it? If so, is it just bad practice or does building regs not allow it anyway?

if building regs have been followed to the letter, surely there should be no condensation anyway?

your making the assumption that the windows is modern enough to have been subject to such regs.

If your designing a new build it's bad practice - only because the plumber will normally want to fit his rad under the window.

That's OK, the radiator will stop the condensation, and will dry out the socket.
